Missions 101: God has a mission for each of us

Last week I was in India with my son Josiah.

We had a great time visiting sights and visiting friends, encouraging them as they encouraged us!

You can watch a talk I gave through my Hindi interpreter, Naresh, at the link below.

In the talk I shared how my search for God as an adult paid off like my search for 4-leaf clovers when I was a kid.

At one point, I had only heard about 4-leaf clovers, but didn’t know if they existed.

One day, after searching for hours in a patch of 3-leaf clovers, I found one! “They exist!” I said.

I’ve collected hundreds of 4-leaf clovers since then, not because I’m lucky, but because I have confidence they’re real. I know they’re out there. I just have to keep searching until I find them.

The Bible says the same about our search for God:

“You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

Your search for God is not in vain. You can have confidence you’ll find Him. I say that with confidence because I’ve found Him! “He exists!”

And I want others to find Him, too.

Why?

Because to me, this is what missions is: one friend telling another friend where they found Hope.

And Hope has a name. His name is Jesus.

Watch the whole message to hear how I came to Christ, how I came into ministry, and how I came back into ministry after a difficult time. I pray it will encourage you to keep sharing with others where you found Hope, too.
